Suture Anchor versus Toggle Rod for Toggle Pin Fixation of Coxofemoral Luxations
Coxofemoral luxations belong to the standard problems in small animal practice. Only reposition is not enough in most of the cases - they need a fixation. Which material is used best for the toggle pin fixation, one of the most popular techniques in this problem? A very interesting study from Mississippi State University.

The mechanical characteristics of toggle rods and Bone BiterTM anchors inserted through the medial acetabular wall for toggle pin repair of coxofemoral luxations were compared in 16 canine cadaver pelves.

No differences were detected in maximum load to failure, displacement at failure, or energy to failure between the two constructs.

Toggle rod constructs failed primarily by breakage of the suture at the rod eyelet.

All of the BoneBiterTM anchor constructs failed when the anchors pulled through the medial acetabular wall.

Computed tomographic arthrography of the canine shoulder joint members
The aim of this retrospective, methods comparison study was to assess the diagnostic utility of computed tomographic arthrography in the assessment of various intraarticular shoulder pathologies in dogs in comparison with survey computed tomography (CT), using arthroscopic examination as the reference standard.
