Anthrax in livestock of Mongolian provinces diagnosed
Anthrax seems one of the `old` diseases which one heard of at the University but never sees in his life. But Anthrax is still a differential that needs to be considered, as these cases from Mongoly show...

The Mongolian Emergency Case Bureau announced that they have recently found 3 persons infected with anthrax in the provinces of Bulgan,
Dzavhan and Hovsgol. More than 20 head of livestock died of the disease.

The Mongolian government has closed off these areas and is requiring permits and inspection certificates for all food exported to Ulaanbaatar.

Related staff and experts from the National Animal Health Bureau and the Center for Infectious Disease Prevention & Control will meet to identify countermeasures in a week.

Acyclovir and Cyprinid herpesvirus 3 multiplication in vitromembers
Cyprinid herpesvirus 3 (CyHVâ€3), also known as koi herpesvirus (KHV), is an aetiological agent of a virulent and lethal disease in common and koi carp. In this study, the authors examined in vitro the antiâ€CyHVâ€3 activity of acyclovir (ACV), nucleoside analogue commonly used against human herpesviruses, as well as acyclovir monophospate (ACVâ€MP).
