The Portuguese Companion Animal Veterinary Association (APMVEAC) is
very honored that Portugal has been chosen to host the 2003 European Congress.
The event will take place on May 22nd to 25th 2003, at the new and
very modern Congress Center in the beautiful seaside resort of Estoril,
near Lisbon. Its facilities are designed to meet the demands of a modern,
international Congress, and we are sure all the delegates and their families
will enjoy this excellent location.
The scientific programme will cover most of the areas that are of importance
to the veterinary practitioner on day-to-day basis. We are especially pleased
that the quality of the programme will be enhanced by the participation
of world-renowned speakers in each scientific area.
Hereditary diseases will be highlighted within the scientific programme
as we should like our profession to consider these issues in a more continuous
and in-depth way. We are especially pleased that, following a proposal
by APMVEAC, FECAVA members have agreed that this should be one of their
priority topics for action in the coming years.
APMVEAC traditionally organises a seminar for auxiliaries in parallel
to the veterinary programme. In 2003, the nurses` programme will include
a practical component as well as lectures

On behalf of the WSAVA 2003 Organizing Committee, it is our pleasure
to invite you to participate in 28th World Small Animal Veterinary Association,
which will be held from the 24-27th of October 2003 in Bangkok – the City
of Angels – in the Kingdom of Thailand.
The WSAVA 2003 world congress is especially designed to serve the growing
veterinary practice and covers all aspect of small animal veterinary science
and offers a wide variety of interesting scientific presentations. About
100 prestigious speakers and experts from over the globe have confirmed
to present their lectures.
To host such an important and prestigious event as the WSAVA congress
is a great honor, and we will do everything we can to make the 2003 world
meeting in Bangkok a most memorable one!
